What if there has been an advanced society on Mars millions of years ago but it was all wiped out in a nuclear conflict war?

You never know.

Depending on the types of nuclear weapons used, there would be decay products that would not have been there without a nuclear war. There would also be residual radiation above an expected background level. Neither of these have been detected. There would also be artifacts of a Level 6 civilization; again, nothing of the kind has been detected.Actually, we would; because while absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence, the application of Occam's Razor leaves only the simplest answer -- Mars has never hosted a Level 6+ civilization.

What if they used Corbomite?

What if 'Corbomite' actually existed, instead of being a fictional material from the Star Trek mythos?

What if all life on Earth is technically Martian due to a chunk of rock from Mars containing basic bacterium landed on a barren Earth? Hmm...

I vaguely remember a story about some hidden civilization of humanoids being discovered in some remote part of the world. Scientists finally came to the conclusion that they were the actual earthlings and we were the offspring of a Martian invasion or colonization that took place thousands of years ago.

What if an intelligent species of dinosaur had evolved and founded a civilization, but it was wiped out by the asteroid? It seems quite plausible to me that they could have existed without leaving anything behind that we could identify today. Also as birds are supposed to have descended from dinosaurs, it is well known that some birds are quite intelligent, so why not?
