This is a tough month for dieters. A week or two ago it was National Ice Cream Week (and then National Ice Cream Day). Today I hear on the local news that it is National Cheesecake Day. (complete with video of all the different kinds of cheesecake.)

I feel ambushed!

I didn't even know that it was National Ice Cream Day or National Cheesecake Day. Maybe because I've been too busy noticing National So Hot I Hate My Life month.

I've lost about 5lbs since last Saturday by cutting out chocolate and sweets. Need to loose another 30 though.

I hear ya.

Any who is even aware that there is such a thing as National Cheese Cake Day (more so if they actually know when it is), or ditto for National Ice Cream Day (unless they work the Diary Lobby) is pretty far gone.

Might as well just check in to Betty Ford, and face the crowd, and confess that "I too am a diary-a-holic".

I never cared much for cheesecake. If there's a national snickerdoodle day, that will be my undoing.

I like news broadcasts. A lot of time I'm not even paying attention, I just have it on for "background noise." So anyway, on slow news days, television news teams are big on covering non-events like national cheesecake day. You can bet if anything big happened in the news, that story would be dropped. It's just filler.

I totally could lose a lot of weight if I stopped eating sweets. But ... but ... but ...

I want a cheesecake...but most of them have gluten-filled crusts on them =(

I guess if I really wanted a cheesecake bad enough, I would bake my own.

I guess I could be proud that in knowing that I didn't blow up my diet that day.
