Her variations of dance pop are generally not my thing but there is no denying her innovations. When she broke on the scene rock and pop music especially when it came to the business end was a mans world. She was determined that the her music and her image would be done her way and she accomplished that. She is an expert marketer. The British were light years ahead of the Americans when it came to using video, her and Micheal Jackson changed that. She is a master in knowing what religous and sexual buttons to push to create controversy.

She is the female David Bowie in that she reinvents herself for every new album and has put elements of latest club thing in her music.

Her fans are the people the term “wannabe” was coined for back in the mid 80’s.
