I've heard some say that clear is a color. I'd say clear isn't color anymore than opaque is a color.

I still remember the "clear craze" in the early 90's. Mmmm, invisible cola...

But I don't think it's technically a color. Black is not supposed to be a real color, but more like the absence of color, so maybe the same goes for clear.

No. Color is a wavelength of light. A clear object is merely an object through which wavelengths of light can be transmitted.

Clear isn't a colour but it's sure cool to look at.

I've seen cans of spray paint that say clear as the color.

Clear is the opposite of opaque. Opaque isn't a color and neither is clear.

naked/nude is a colour so I'd say clear is a colour as well - it's just a descriptive name

Clear is included in colour charts, often represented as a shiny, matte or satin white.

One thing that's not cool when clear is gravy. During the "clear craze", SNL had a commercial parody for clear gravy, and it was pretty gross when people were pouring it on mashed potatoes, dunking fried chicken in it, and then eating it. :eew:

My bother said that the whole clear fad was really stupid and they just trying to make you think "clear" meant "pure", or no dyes or chemicals that normally give products their colors. As usual he, was right.

No. Clear means colorless. If you have a clear spectrum, it bends light into a rainbow of colors.
