Please note that the emphasis on the poll questions is generally. Every human is most likely both positive and negative at different times. The purpose of this poll is for respondents to indicate by vote whether they consider themselves to be a more positive or more negative person in their outlook/personality.

I'm generally a positive person.
Before I casted my vote, it was 100% into the negative side (well only 1 vote). Now it seems more balanced huh? ;)

You know how time flies? It is a pitty to live life with negative outlook. Soon you'll be too late to regret it
:P

I'm more negative but I think I'm more realistic. LOTS of things in my life went wrong for me throughout my life so I believe it's foolish for me to expect things to go rite without a hitch when experience has taught my otherwise.

Generally positive, but also anxious at times.

Do you generally have a positive or negative outlook?

( ) I'm generally a positive person. "Glass half full."

( ) I'm generally a negative person. "Debbie/Dennis Downer."

(•) It depends on the context, the topic, the situation, and/or the people involved.

It depends on the day.

I don't often get too euphoric, or too sad, though.

It was a little worse about five years ago.

There was an interesting discussion back then IIRC on whether there's such thing as "being neutral", that is for example choosing neither side, or taking a passive stance like Switzerland (which is considered neutral but in reality not even close!)

I think the answer to that question would be best described by the sentence you just ticked in your message.

But still you do have to vote! Or do you? Maybe you abstain , that is , being neutral? Hmmmm

The poll should reflect the spectrum-nature of outlooks, and not offer only two opposite options.

Which is exactly why there could never be an aspie nation.

I emphasized generally anticipating this very thing. Of course a person can be negative one day and positive the next, or flip back and forth in a given day, depending on whose company they're with, what article they read, what they had for dinner, etc.

Macrocosmic, everyone. Take a bird's eye view of your personality in general.

If I could edit, I would agree adding a third option for neither negative nor positive. I just....am. But alas, too late.

I think there's a big swing towards negativity on here, I don't think it's a reflection of the autistic community as a whole though.
I imagine it's down to life experiences, I've read a lot of people saying their upbringing were poor and such.

I swing towards positivity because I had a tough youth but I'm still here. A little scarred but still breathing.
I feel like it'll be alright in the end and there's no point upsetting yourself further.

Many people on the spectrum suffer anxiety and depression, and pessimism and feelings of hopelessness are symptoms of such things. But then again. all we have to do to justify our negativity is to turn on the TV, pick up a newspaper, go to the internet, or just look out our window.

I consider myself a relatively positive person, but there are days where I am the opposite.

I'm mostly positive. I have a very positive outlook on my future. I have a sense that the future will be better for everyone than the present time is. There will be more acceptance in the world in many ways in the future than there is now.

I see the world through a pretty doom and gloom lens but somehow I'm also pretty optimistic despite that. I feel like things will turn out for the best in the end, one way or another.

I wonder how many of the people posting here vote according to how they feel on the current day.
