I live in the real world. Reality, (at least in my worldview) is quite nihilistic. Ergo, saying that i’m A pessimist is being generous. I’m more of a miserable nihilist.

but i think op was talking about absolute poverty - living on a dollar or less a day.

Just learned Canada going to prepare for nuke fallout frm north krea, i hat u wrld m so dpressed cant spell proply anymre shld i get out the syanide or wat?

When I visited the Museum of Natural History in Chicago [the Field Museum], they were selling signs that read:
"Stay Calm, and try not to become Extinct"
It was near the skeletons of large dinosaurs.

I liked the sign and had one made up when I got home.

I thought it was good advice.
