Has your name ever been used for a hurricane, typhoon, cyclone, winter storm, etc? My first name I don’t believe has but my middle name is on the list of names in the Eastern Pacific. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Not as far as I know.

It would've been cool if there was a storm with my name on it!

Oh yeah.

In 1992 my namesake "Hurricane Andrew" achieved category five status, and tore up the Bahamas, and then tore up Dade County Florida, including devastating the Miami area, continued into the Gulf of Mexico, turned right, and hit Louisiana at Morgan City. All told it killed sixty five people and did 27 billion dollars worth of damage according to Wiki.

While passing through Florida Andrew also even destroyed "a facility housing Burmese pythons" many of which escaped into the Everglades and helped to create the intractable breeding population of the invasive snakes in Florida.

It was America's most expensive hurricane to date, until it was surpassed by Katrina in '05.

I vividly remember seeing news footage of a benefit concert by Miami's favorite daughter, Gloria Estefan, to raise money and spirits in the aftermath. The line "we all been through some nasty weather" from her hit "Get on Your Feet" took on memorable added meaning.

Yes, in 2000, though I don't remember it. Apparently it killed 62 people and caused $365,938 in damage as a category 4.

Apparently, my first name had been used multiple times somewhere else around the world. Goggle says around 6 times or so.

My second name, close with one name, but never. And my nickname's too obscure.

Yes. It wasn't in my neck of the woods and didn't make landfall. It tracked southward and petered out into a tropical low.

Hurricane Isabella.

Oh yes.

Your hurricane was the worst in that notorious hurricane season of 2003 when they were coming at us like cars off an assembly line. Sixteen named storms, of which seven became hurricanes. Your namesake hit near my DC area effecting mainly Virginia. But damage was caused as far inland as West Virginia. Six million without power.

Nope. Never. Not my middle name, either.

 Yes, but I was referring to my real name which was also quite destructive! I'm quite the whirling dervish it seems!
I just checked and my middle name was notorious as well. I'm feeling quite smug and powerful now! (Jokes!)

No, and I hope there never is. If a storm was named after my name, knowing my luck it would probably be the most descructive storm on record. I don't like attention drawn to me by my name. I've always been sensitive about my name.

No and my middle name is 'May' so I can't figure that one out through google cos pretty sure some storm or other has happened in May.
