Personally my pet of choice would be a dog and i love bologneses

I like dogs, but because they are smelly and noisy, I prefer to own cats (or have them own me). I still like dogs though. I like bassets and beagles (and bagels ).

I like dogs and have a M.a.r.e.m.m,a (i don't want to be googled.)

I would love an Irish wolf Hound if they had a longer life span.

He's a Roosevelt Terrier--a "breed" so new he's about one generation from being a mutt!

I think that's the reason he's so smart. The breed has not degenerated from closed breeding populations yet.

these puppies are too cute.

I'd like a salt-n-pepper Miniature Schnauzer. They're really devoted, have a great personality, and - don't shed hairs.
The coat looks wiry on the back/flanks but it's as soft as down and very dense.



Other than that I like almost any sort of dog, because they're very easy for me to read.
My current 'best canine mates' are a pair of Boxers and we get on great.

Puppies. I love puppies. I could hold and snuggle a puppy all day. Their teeth feel nice when they chew. I like watching them play. If only I could have a border collie crossed with black laborador again.

I like golden retrievers, setters, labs mixes, and collies the most, but I don't really like dogs that bark loudly/all the time.

I like a majority of dogs. I don't really have a favorite breed, because I've only really had one dog my entire life (I got him for my 6th birthday, so he's 9 now.) He's a "chihuahua" named Chili. The breed is put in quotation marks because he doesn't really seem like most chihuahuas... he's much bigger than most of them, and has a totally different face. Might post a pic sometime. I love him.

My sentiments exactly. Best dog ever. Very people friendly and very smart. I miss mine.

I've never once not had a dog. My mom was a vet, and she really loves dogs, wo we've always had more than one. My dogs were the only things keeping me company when I was homeschooled. We currently have 5.

My favorite breed is the Tamaskan, which is a new breed(a sheperd/husky/etc. mix) that resembles a wolf. There are currently only a few thousand Tamaskans in existence.


Others that I'm particularly fond of are Chihuahuas(I have 3 in my house), Papillons(my own dog is a freakishly large papillon), rough collies, Siberian Huskies, Border Collies, and German Shepards.

Yeah, isn't that strange? I can't read people for crap, but I can read my dog naturally...

I don't have a dog of my own but spend lots of time with my sister's Boxers. Everyone else goes overboard with the snappy commands and shouty instructions, but I just speak to them and get better results. I've never treated dogs as 'pets' or 'accessories' to be kept in their 'place', because their place is my place too. They're just totally honest, four-legged, highly sociable people with none of the problems attached to the two-legged variety.
I know from their face exactly what's going on with them: busy/happy/puzzled/interested/bored etc. and adjust what I say accordingly. Never fails!
They check me out too in just the same way, and both of them have this really cute 'head nod' way of saying hello if they spot me while on their way to investigate something. "Can't stop right now, I'm busy - but hello anyway".
