I think Amish people have it rough, no way I could do it. I couldn’t handle all the religion and no car. I actually don’t mind the clothes guys wear. Looks much better than what the girls are wearing. The farming and good neighbors appeal to me. But screw religion and no car.

I couldn't live like an Amish or a Mennonite (we have them where I live) but I actually think those people are amazing. They handcraft some beautiful things all without the use of modern technology.

My girlfriend is a Mennonite, and they're not all the same. Different levels of traditional. We screw, have religion, and have cars

But, I am not a Mennonite.

I know Mennonites are more accepting of modern technology than Amish are but I still couldn't live like they do.

The dresses that the women make are beatiful though.

I thought about trying to live in an Amish community because I admire their values. I also really think I would of had a much easier time getting & keeping girlfriends if I was Amish.

Autistic, cuz I like being a Lutheran and as hard as autism is I wouldn't trade it in.

I would much rather be autistic. There's no way I could be Amish. My dolls all have faces on them. :lol:

Of course, I might not be even interested in dolls or stuffed animals if I wasn't autistic, although I'm sure other toy collectors can be NT. And some people who aren't Amish have Amish-style dolls.

I get the feeling that if I was born Amish exactly the way I am now that I wouldn't be welcomed in their culture and would most likely leave.
