It says this on a can of hair spray. No, do not smoke ever, whether your hair is wet or not. The only difference is smoking while your hair is wet with hair spray affects you instantly.

Smoking doesn't usually kill people quickly, but if you smoke right after using hairspray, then it might be brought on a lot faster than you think.

Although personally, I find the fumes from hair spray so bad I'm surprised it hasn't killed me. I also really hate that sticky feeling it leaves on both hair and skin. I haven't used it in forever.

I think one can of hairspray I have says “Do not use this product while smoking” or “Do not smoke while using this product.” I thought that meant you had to wash your hair again before you smoke.

The fumes from some hairspray products are obnoxious smelling.

I can barely stand it when I visit my mom and she's using hairspray before going to church, although she keeps her hair quite short. Awful!
