What things did you like and dislike about 2018?

Likes: tennis, singing in church choir, work
Dislikes: sad events for family and friends

I really didn't like anything about this year to be honest.

I actually enjoyed the royal wedding. First time ever. I have no time for the royals but I like Meghan. And I know it's BS (they're royalty. The police and their body guards will guard them. They're not out in the middle of nowhere where there isn't a legal system) but I love that she promised to protect Harry.

I also actually enjoyed England at the world cup and the fact that Gazza has been surpassed helps. Even though my favourite England player, Rooney, also has been. Best England team in a long time.

Much more obviously I liked the Double Treble...

On a personal level, I moved to a town I associate with childhood rather than one I associate with not being NT and being punished for that. This afforded me a lot of opportunities to go out in public.

I don't think I disliked much in the news that couldn't have happened in 2017. I guess the result a few days ago but these things happen sometimes.

On a personal level, I hated mum's new boss. Totally ableist scumbag who wanted everyone to dance to her tune. But mum quit her job in December so I guess this stacks up as being something good in the end.

Oh wait I liked the new movie Bohemian Rhapsody. That's about it.

Likes: Denis Istomin winning the gold medal at the Asian Games tennis tournament and qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games; Roger Federer winning his 20th Major and Rafael Nadal winning the French Open for the eleventh time (and his 17th Major overall)

I must say I loved the summer of 2018 because it seemed hot and sunny from April to September, with only a few rain showers. I hope we get a summer like that again this year in the UK.

Also I got my job at the bus depot in 2018, which was what I always wanted, and I got to move out of my parents house. Ok I do miss living with my parents because I love their company, but it makes me feel more independent and also confident to be flown the nest.

I won't go into the bad stuff.

Survived the whole year and managed to keep my sanity in such an insane world.

Wait, what if I really am insane and don't know it? After all I'm talking to myself right now as I type this. I talk to myself all the time. Maybe everything I see is really a hallucination. Before my diagnoses with Asperger's I was such a mess that maybe I really did have a nervous breakdown, I wasn't diagnosed at all but thrown onto the street, and my apartment is really an old shack I found somewhere. Maybe my parents aren't real but hallucinations, and when my mom invites me out for supper and other things I'm really rummaging for scraps in garbage cans. Maybe this computer is some junky old model I found in the trash and doesn't even work. Maybe my two cats are really two big sewer rats!
