Have you ever wondered how you can become a good leader?

I saw an interesting interview of General Stanley McChrystal wherein he reminded everyone how to become an effective leader.

Lead by example

With an iron fist.

By example
By showing enthusiasm in your organization
By being ready to do what is needed

By example, from the front, and through inspiring and motivating your subordinates.

An occasional "at will" dismissal will keep the rest on their toes, though.

In my experience of being sort of a back up to my supervisor in my department. I got there by being very dedicated(working aLOT) & being a strategist(I liked to organize tasks & know who's doing what so I better know what I'm supposed to do & don't have to worry about)
