The Englisch lyrics are a perversion of the German original.

In German, it is an anti-fascist song.
In Englisch, at least the versions I have heard, it has been turned into a romance. :roll:

Du Haste is one of my all-time favourites. :thumright:

It's a German anti fascist song that was twisted into a song about a failed romance in the English language.
