Every time I start getting into a series of a sitcom, drama or cartoon, either on box sets that I own or YouTube, I have an urge to write stories about them like create my own version of whatever I'm watching at the time. Like for example, if I get into the Inbetweeners series, I have an urge to write stories about the characters or make up my own characters but still write a series of stories similar to the actual sitcom. Then as soon as I finish watching all the episodes of the Inbetweeners, I go on to something else and lose interest in my stories I had begun writing. So I have lots of unfinished stories relating to different TV programmes/DVDs everywhere. Right now I keep watching Arthur on YouTube and I'm thinking of starting a new book with made up characters similar to Arthur and his friends and sisters.

Does anyone else do this or is it just me? I do love writing.

I have done this before. I love to write. I have imagined stories involving my favorite tennis players.

It is fanfiction I think.

I want to do a series of stories about Arthur, except using different characters and genders. In my version DW is going to be a 7-year-old boy with ADHD, Arthur is going to be a popular 10-year-old girl, but I'm not sure whether to have a baby in this family or not. Each story will be similar plots to the episodes, but with my own characters. I love doing this....but as soon as I stop watching Arthur again I'll start to lose interest in writing the stories.

I actually have a few fanfics that I've written about MLP. All 3 of them follow the same story of a human's adventures in Equestria, his interactions with the Mane 6, and the pains and struggles he comes across along the way among other things, often set in between seasons. I have plans for it to be a 7 story series and I've already started work on the 4th entry, but I'd like to save it for after the show ends later on this year. I figure it would be a nice way to continue the stories even after the show's over.

I did a story about love and acceptance and the ordinary becoming beautiful, with a Siamese cat as the subject of the story.
