Yes. I got As in my classes, probably because I knew my subject matter and was prepared when called on to speak, not because I was a brilliant speaker.

I think long ago when I went to school they didn't even have a speech class. I think they had a speech club.

I didn’t, but my brother who is also on the spectrum did. My autistic son and nephew are in speech therapy as well.

Edited to add: oops! I thought you were talking about speech therapy. I wish I would’ve taken a speech class in college. I suck at public speaking despite having done it often enough.

I got Bs in high school, but got an A in the Business and Professional Speech I took in college.

I did take public speaking in HS. Its a good thing for aspies. One of my fav classes.

I just started a thread for speech therapy. Yes, it can be confusing since speech therapy at school is also called "speech".

I never heard of speech class so I highly doubt my skewls had it but I was in speech therapy till I started high-skewl.

I took a speech class in my sophomore year, as a prelude to trying out for the debate team. The teacher did not like some of the topics I chose, so I got only average grades and never made the debate team.
