As a young adult, I owned one of these. Actually this was the car that I first learned to drive a stick. To say it was fast would be an understatement. But mine was not a convertible.

Rare Plymouth Hemi Cuda muscle car sold for nearly $2 million

For those Aspies that drive, what was the best car that you ever owned? This one was mine.

Saab 9-3 NG body high output with a Viggen clutch & forge motorsport diverter valve. That thing was falling to pieces but mechanically amazing. I'd take a Saab over a WRX or Mitsubishi Evo any day.

I have a manual Volvo turbo AWD wagon that's great now but I still really miss the Saab aerodynamics. Those last lift backs they made were missiles.

You lucky dog, I had a 69 Road Runner for a while, but it only had a 383 in it. It was mostly a project and I always managed to put my money into my motorcycles because they were so much faster and ultimately more fun to drive.

My favorite car was a pickup truck. It was a 1978 Ford F150 Ranger Lariat 4x4 with a 400 cubic inch V8 engine and dual fuel tanks. It could go 120-130 mph. I had it when I was ages 17-19.

These were the colors and it looked similar to this except it wasn't jacked up or with beefy tires an the roof of mine was blue rather than silver or white. I sold it when I was 19 because I was on my own then and couldn't afford the cost of fuel since it got less than 10 miles to the gallon.

More Swedish oddness;
Now I drive a 6 speed 5 cylinder AWD turbo miniature wagon:

I like the larger end of small performance cars, I sure don't exactly fit in much less car than this. I just think it's interesting comparing euro vehicles to these American sleds.

I have had lots of cars but two come to mind. Actually a few... One is the Volvo 360 GLT 3 door hatchback I had. Wow. It was so impressive. Go down an entire straight road at 45 degrees with the back end out wheelspinning... and hold it like that for ages. So easy to control. Once I wheelspun it from a start and then reduced the acceleration to allow the wheels to grip and it stalled. Strange. It has not done this before. I regularlynhad the rear wheels spin if I wanted a quick acceleration. What happend? My work collegue pointed it out. I was in 3rd gear. The car had spun the rear whels in 3rd from a start.

Another car whick is a little flexible and flimsy as it is very light, but cheap to run and ever so good climbing hills in snow or ice and that is the 954cc Citroen AX. 640kg in weight. Down steep hills in snow it was the gears that slowed it down. No chance of stopping. Just try to steer it the best I could! (Nearly every car I have had has been a manual except for a Mercades estate which was an automatic which my dad had but I had after he passed away. That was doing 40mpg with a small petrol leek at the fuel pump (Worn seals).

My favourite for its practicality and its engine is my current car. Mitsubishi Colt D I-D Which was registered in 2005. It has a 1500cc Mercades diesel engine and it goes well. It is the sound of the car pulling away at next to idling revs... even at 40 or more mph... I am in 5th gear at 40 to 50 mph cruising around with 1000 to 2000 revs. It sounds amazing. Just like an old low revving diesel electric locomotive.
