Do you like boats?

I like them when I'm not on them, where I don't have to worry about seasickness or being trapped on the ocean during an outbreak of norovirus.

I've never actually been sick while on a boat or ship, but while on a ferry a few years ago I suffered a panic attack. I managed to calm down, but I'm not eager to set foot onto a floating vessel again soon.

I don't like being on boats, I worry too much about the chances of suddenly getting wet, which I have major sensory issues with (like, instant meltdown/shutdown if it happens). I guess I'm kind of like a cat

I love boats. I've always lived beside the sea and my dad had a small fishing boat when I was quite young. I loved going out to sea in it but unfortunately he had to sell it for financial reasons.

Now I have my own small boat, a seventeen feet long sea kayak, and can go anywhere I fancy in it. It's a "skin-on-frame" boat with a soft skin (albeit made from modern hi tech materials rather than the animal skins traditionally used by Inuit peoples) and an internal frame. It constantly flexes with every little movement of the water. Most people who have tried it find the flexing unnerving but I love it. It makes my interactions with the water feel very intimate.

I love larger boats too and often go on bird watching trips in small boats and on the large ferries that operate around the islands on the west coast of Scotland, but in general I find the smaller the boat, the more enjoyable the experience.

I like canoe is a boat

I like looking at boats.
I like riding on a ferry.
I like riding in a canoe.
But I found being on a sailboat boring after a while. Just sitting there bobbing up and down.
I have never experienced being the least bit seasick so far.
