No, you can't trick the Tooth Fairy by putting a fake tooth under your pillow.

Maybe the tooth fairy would leave counterfeit money.

I heard some parents think their kids shouldn't get get any tooth fairy money because they shouldn't be rewarded for something that just happens naturally. Just like they think kids shouldn't get presents or even a cake for their birthday.

Sad. :(

No wonder leaving a Chiclet under my pillow didn't pay off.

On South Park the boys stole other kids teeth & put them under the pillows of rich kids while they slept & stole the money after their parents put the money under there.

^ Yeah, I saw that episode. It was Cartman, go figure.

I also saw an episode of the original Powerpuff Girl, where Buttercup accidentally knocks out one of Bubbles' teeth (which was probably already loose). At first Buttercup feels terrible for what she just did...until she finds out Bubbles will get money from the tooth fairy. I think the tooth fairy in the cartoon was real even though we never actually see her. And then Buttercup gets very greedy and nasty, and goes out severely beating up bad guys just to get their teeth to make more money. Professor Utonium, Blossom and Bubbles temporarily form a truce with the bad guys to teach Buttercup a severe lesson.

The idea of the Tooth Fairy was invented to give children comfort in losing baby teeth which they might find a worrisome experience.

There was a Calvin and Hobbes comic where Calvin put some corn kernels that he had secretly saved from his dinner that evening, and put them under his pillow, saying to Hobbes, "With any luck, the Tooth Fairy won't know they're fakes until it's too late".

I think would be too funny if a kid who tries something like this gets a note under their pillow the next morning saying "Nice try loser kid, ha ha!, signed, the T.F.".

Does the tooth fairy pay up for candy teeth?

^She probably gives you candy money, like chocolate coins in gold foil. And of course, she leaves you a friendly note reminding you to brush your real teeth afterwards.
