Why do people love sticking their gum in stupid places?

Gum is disgusting right up there with tobacco. Singapore actually banned chewing gum. Must be nice to walk in public without constantly stepping all over it.

I never cared much for chewing gum...but whenever I have I throw it in the garbage where it belongs.
