I used to have a set of blackout curtains in my bedroom and they were wonderful! As I'm very light-sensitive they were a real help with my neighbors' fluorescent carport lights, as well as preserving my antique books, the big upright Victrola, some vintage religious artwork that I like, my desk, and other sundries. Without those curtains things would start showing damage.

Right now I don't have blackouts because I'm living in a rented house, and the plastic Venetian blinds aren't the greatest. I'm thinking of making a sleep mask on my sewing-machine.
