As someone who was born in 1974, I know from experience that this was what households were usually like in that decade. When my parents had company over the smoke would get so thick I'd crawl under it like I heard you were supposed to do in the fire safety PSAs.

My narcissistic grandmother who abused my mom got lung cancer from smoking years ago but she's too damn mean to die. :shrug:

I figured it was gonna be about the effects of your smoking the health of others.

But from your title I thought the message was gonna be set to the tune of "Second Hand Rose"- the Sixties showtune made famous by Barbara Sreisand in Funny Girl. Didn't expect it to be set to the theme of the Brady Bunch (which is a fine vehicle for the message too).
