I came across an interesting article about carving out a space to vent stress energy - a mum cave.

"You hear about man caves and toy rooms, but I'd never heard of a mum cave," she said. "I suffer from [postpartum] depression and I felt like I needed somewhere I could take myself without inflicting my mood on the children and then I can come out and be mummy again."

A young mom who needed some time to herself converted a closet under the stairs into a peaceful "mum cave."

Jessica Pool, 25, from Oxfordshire, England, has three children. And after her newest arrival, she started to suffer from postpartum depression. She also noticed her children would take themselves away when they needed some quiet time, and that everyone had their own space — except for her.

Pool said the space, which she has dubbed the "Mum Cave," is a phone-free area with no distractions — just a place where she can sit and think.

"It's a nonelectronic cupboard so I don't take my phone in there, I go in there for headspace and to recharge."

The room came together quickly, too. She managed to create the space in just two hours by taking the trash to the dump. Plus, the little money she spent on it — just 17 pounds, or roughly $22 — was used for paint, and Pool said the value far surpasses the cost.

Well I have what I call the chill zone in my entire apartment when I get off work, glad I don't have kids...I like to come home from work, grab whatever lunch stuff I have in the refrigerator or freezer and eat it and play some video games...or listen to music and I do some cleaning if things are getting gross and need cleaned. I don't even have a kitchen table I just eat on the couch or in my computer chair noticed today I need to vacuum because I have added quite a few crumbs to the floor, I mean what can I say potato chips can be messy. There is a table in the apartment but its covered with paints and miniatures me and my boyfriend are working on so not really a spot we eat at. I mean if we had an apartment fire we would probably disregard the advice to get out immeaditly and try to grab as many minatures as we could I'd even let the Xbox one X burn because my game data will be on my microsoft account and I can just get another console, but all the cool minatures my boyfriend has painted cannot be replaced so me and him would be grabbing all those that we could and I'd probably try and grab a few of my own things that have value to me. Which in the event of a fire is not much like I got clothes, shoes an xbox and a laptop and a bunch of other random crap all of which could be replaced fairly easily, I guess there are a few band shirts a couple that I got at concerts that I would want to try and save.
