Anyone else have this happen with Macys.com?

So earlier this year, I ordered for the first time from Macys.com, and after a couple weeks, the shipment hadn't come from them (wasn't anything I needed immediately), so I called their customer service, and promptly within a few days, it was here.

I ordered again a few weeks ago, and even ended up getting an e-mail on the 7th saying that it had been delivered, but again, nothing showed up. I waited a while, then called customer service on Sunday evening, the 17th, and came home Tuesday, the 19th, and a box was here! They had it out in less than 2 days!

Both times, the first order almost didn't seem to do anything, but calling them afterwards got it to me pretty quickly. Anyone else hear of/experience anything like this?

I'm seeing it happen often with on-line retailers that started out as brick-and-mortar stores.  It's as of on-line orders are given low priority until someone complains about the slow (or non-existent) delivery service.

Interesting, but I've ordered from a few different brick-and-mortar stores (former and current) online, but never really had a problem with anyone else.

In general, I do not order through Macys.com. But I do buy a lot of stuff from Macy's. Sometimes I will order stuff from them at the local store and it shows up quickly through the mail. For example, I see a coat that I want but they do not have my size, so I order it in the store and the shipping is free and the coat which is in a store 400 miles away is shipped to my home and it arrives within a few days. That works for me.
