How would things be if Walmart stores had fire drills?

How would things be if Walmart stores had fire drills regularly like schools do?

I was in Tesco once and there was this fire alarm going off. But everybody was ignoring it and just carrying on with their business, so it made me assume that maybe the alarm sound wasn't a fire alarm and that perhaps someone had accidentally set something off and couldn't get it to switch off. Then one of the staff announced over the intercom that there is a fire drill and that everyone must immediately evacuate the building. So hundreds of people all had to exit out of the store, which made me feel very stressed, and we all had to stand there in the car park only for a couple of minutes. Then they let everyone back in again. I didn't see much point in all that.

So the point is, if supermarkets did have fire drills regularly, it would be hell trying to get all the shoppers out then back in again every week, and shopping is generally not something people like to be interrupted in.

I've been shopping at the local grocery store a few times when a alarm of some kind went off, but the other shoppers and I just looked around, going "Duh? Huh? Wha?" like a bunch of morons. And then when it didn't look like the store needed to be evacuated or anything, we continued on our shopping. None of us wanted to leave our carts full of food abandoned without a really good reason.

I've heard that men are the hunters while women are the gatherers by nature. When women are shopping it's like when our early ancestors were out gathering berries and plants in a field, and wouldn't let something like a rain storm make us scamper back to our caves empty-handed.
