when the stroke of midnight occurs, i'll breathe a sigh of relief. i took my life in my own hands today and went out to do errands. printed out my will, rounded up witnesses [sis' hubby and the secretary in the notary public's office] and had the thing signed and notarized, much belated task. now i can kick the bucket testate. 
sis and hubby treated me afterwards to a by-god restaurant meal. 
normally on this kinda frida the 13th i'd have stayed coopep-up tight in my hermit-hole but life is what happens when you've made other plans. i was on wiki 2 days ago and the periodic "DONATE!" nag-screen came up, and the xmas spirit got me to donate a nominal amount. as a reward, wiki sent me to a "Free Will" page [free wills] and finally did my will. this wouldn't have happened had i not donated to wiki.

Since this year is almost over and a new year is coming soon, I made up a 13 card spread to judge the four seasons that are coming: winter, spring, summer, and fall. Plus a center shadow card to represent the overall feel of the next year.
Winter Months:
December: Knight of Swords. I see a path to some kind of conflict, or a war.
January: King of Cups (inverted). A dishonest sitting on the throne. A man who is not to be trusted. Could be Borris Johnson...
Feburary: 8 of Swords. A person tied up and blindfolded, reminds me of a firing squad... Bad news, a crisis of some kind is coming....
Spring Months:
March: The Magician. It can mean diplomacy. Somebody will stand up to address the disaster brought upon us by the 8 of Swords.
April: The King of Pentacles. A rich man, a business man. Someone of keen intelligence. Could be Donald Trump?
May: The Devil (inverted). An evil fatality leading to weakness and destruction.
Summer Months:
June: The Fool (inverted). I'm sensing great apathy in the world... People are naively unaware of what is really happening to the world.
July: 8 of Pentacles. A laborer is working on the large gold coins. More jobs created for everybody.
August: 3 of Pentacles (inverted). Mediocracy within efforts of the church to gain more control leading to pettiness.
Fall Months:
September: 10 of Cups. A happy family staring at the rainbow. Repose of the heart, perfection achieved. Prosperity all around
October: 4 of Swords. This can be a potential death card, as well as a card of being isolating. Perhaps Trump will succeed in making the US an isolationist country? Or he will bring about the end of democracy. It'll be the end of something... (and Borris could do the same to the UK with Brexit)
November: 9 of Pentacles (inverted). A young woman standing in a garden with an exotic bird. This card invokes narcissism and bad faith.
And finally the 13th Card or 'shadow card': An inverted King of Swords. A man of cruelty, evil intentions, and a breach of faith. A man who is controlling everything from behind the scenes through deception. Maybe Putin? Or Xi Jingpin?

I got my tooth filled yesterday without any problems, so I'm happy mainly because of that.
I like Friday the 13th. It's kind of like "Halloween Jr.". I even made a picture of a black cat with a Santa hat holding a broken Christmas bauble in his paw.

Actually, if the USA really is parallel to the UK in terms of politics at the moment then if the King of Cups represents Borris that means the King of Pentacles/Coins is Trump.
I think Trump is most likely going to win the election next year
i would rather avoid thinking about such ugliness. boris the spider and his fascists over in UK was quite bad enough.
I think the cards of warning of a false sense of prosperity and entitlement that will eventually lead to a big falling out of some kind. Maybe NATO will break up? Honestly, I think we all know the future is looking bleak.
But I often pull the 10 of Cups, a very good card. The beautiful rainbow that appears in the sky after a dark storm.

In order for there to be healing there's gotta be some pain first...
Next year is going to be a pretty bad year all around the world, but there's still hope. Hope keeps us going.
