We are entering a new decade tomorrow. The 2020s. What are your hopes, wishes, and dreams for the 2020s?

I don't have anything as long-term as the entire decade, but my hope is to have a place of my own and/or a job I can support myself on by the end of this coming year. Both is probably setting my hopes too high, but if I can at least get one, I'll be content.

In order of priority:

Continued good health and wellbeing for myself and my close family and friends.

Continuing to progress in my career.

Buying my own home.

Travelling more often.

Finding a girlfriend.

If even one of those things happens, then I will be happy.

new decade technically begins jan. 1, 2021. anyways, i am amazed that there are automated algorithms which can separate a monophonic musical recording into its constituent parts/instruments, cleanly enough to make a new multichannel master recording for the purposes of remixing a mono original recording into a bona fide new stereophonic recording. i hope this technology makes it onto more computers. i also hope more amuuuuricans come to their senses and stop attacking their own.

Hmm, I'd like to own a place of my own. Might even be possible by the end of this year. Before 2030 I'd also like to visit Japan and travel more in general, get a better job, get a book published, find a partner, have kid(s)...

Two words: Git gud.

At the very least not having a brain fart and not knowing how to respond to basic replies. I swear sometimes whatever communication skills I have go completely out the window. When communicating with person B, I forget to give the same info I've given to person A, I'll forget what I was previously discussing with person C about X issue when reporting back to person A, and so on...

Maybe I can just settle on knowing at least what the root cause is.

For the world in general, I wish that people will become kinder to one another and more accepting of differences, and that preserving nature will come to be seen as more important than it has been.
For myself, I wish to gain the ability to sleep well, to be able to repair my relationship, and to find a less stressful job.
