OK, time for my year/decade end message from me.
I've met so many wonderful friends this decade, especially since I joined this site seven years ago. I've made the evolution from an awkward, turbulent early twenty-something to a more focused, stable early thirty-something. Yes, I've made my mistakes, but you live, you learn, ya know? And, of course, I've had my usual share of fun, like I do each year.
I've never felt hopeful about myself than right now. Yes, I know the world seems messed up, and all you ever hear is negativity, but I refuse to believe that the world is so negative. There is LOTS of positivity around. You just have to look. The world is not perfect, as Roy Mustang said, but it's there for us, trying the best it can. And I'm trying the best I can as well.
(And you know what I've said about the news, they focus too much on the negative, to the point where you can't see the positive.)
To all of my friends: Thank you for being there for me. It means a lot to me. I appreciate all of your friendships, and if you ever want to talk to me, I'm not that hard to find.
And as for me? I look at every day as a chance to be someone new. I don't let my autism get in the way of enjoying my life; each day, for me, is like "I'm going to get through this day the best I can, and any crap that gets thrown my way, BE DAMNED!". Since my rediagnosis in March of 2014, I've begun to learn to love myself for who I am, not who I wish to be.
Well, that's all for now. Have a great year/decade..... let's all learn to be kinder to one another, and to be more positive. Much love to you all, and CHEERS!
