What does “cross posting “ mean

I looked it up and can’t find a definition :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: what is i It they told me to stop doing it but I have no idea what it is so how do I stop and still be able to post if I don’t know what it is

If you have an issue with tropical fish you should not post your question on every tropical fish site you can find.

Here it means if I made an original post titled "please help me with this" and then posted it in general autism discussion, random discussion, the haven, members only discussion etc.

Does this also include posting the same topic in multiple threads, even when the exact wording of the text may differ in each thread?

For example, if I was to include in every one of my posts -- regardless of the original subject of the thread -- a reference to childhood abuse and lack of meaningful friendships, would that be considered “cross-posting” or just annoying spam?
