She called me to see if I would maybe want to go with her on a little road trip to see some crane migration. Which under normal circumstances I would have considered more but with this virus thing going on I don't want to go to another state as I think its in a neighboring state, even if it is right next to my state just don't want to risk any troubles getting back home. She said my brother may be interested to.

But I think when I call her back about it, I might suggest we just go to a different nature area...there is a cool place with quite a few bald eagles nesting that we could go check out within the state. Just doesn't seem like now is a good time for an overnight camping trip in another state so I am hoping maybe me and my mom and brother could still get together for a little nature trip but perhaps somewhere closer to home this time around. Otherwise may just have to refuse because seems too risky to travel to a different state right now.

The virus is in all 50 states now. I'm sure there are likely online videos of the crane migration.

On the upside: you're going away from the crowds if you're going out to the woods. So you would be less likely to catch it.

On the downside: if for some reason you did catch the norovirus on this trip then you would be stuck out in the woods in wouldn't be able to get medical help.

I'm sure there are precautions you can take when travelling. It's obviously away from populated areas. The unsafest part would probably be when stopping at petrol stations or restaurants along the way. Better to take your own food and all necessities should you decide to go.

By all means suggest the bald eagle trip as an alternative. That may be better.

The thread title is slightly misleading...
