I don't doubt it, but I can't help but think that these sort of books are only preaching to the choir. The vast majority of the people who read them already recognize and agree with the premise, nod their heads and feel good about themselves for having come to the same conclusions, and move on with their lives. I suppose they're good for increasing your vocabulary on a topic, so to speak, if someone's found a better way of explaining it than you have yourself.

True :) but for me, this book made me realize that people are exactly what they are and it wasn't up to me to change them. By staying with such people for as long as I did robbed me of a life.
