I am going to buy a trash grabber to clean up my area.

I am sick of seeing all the litter, especially in and around the little urban streams and such. I mean I am one person so probably only so much I can do. But I need more exercise anyways so if I went walking more often and picked up trash it would help me and the surrounding ecosystems. And I am bored so it would give me something to do. And hell maybe if random passerbys see a random person just picking up trash to get it out of the parks and streams maybe they'd think about doing it to.
I realize all that actually does is potentially take the trash there, and it may still end up in a landfill somewhere else. But I am only one human I cannot fix the entire system I can only do my little part. And currently I see a lot of crap in the little streams around where I live and if I had a trash grabber it would be easy to remove a lot of that crap to at least make my little area cleaner. Also I just found there is a good shortcut from a path I usually walk to a park that spreads out pretty far...it's an 'illegal ' train track crossing but there is already a trail as if many people have been ignoring that. And now since I know I don't have to walk all the way around down to the busy street and back up to get to that park I may walk there more often. Sure if a cop is sitting in the cul de sac near the train track crossing I won't cross because I don't want the fine, but if there is no cop then there is no one to enforce the fine if I just run across real quick and go on my way.
But along this short-cut there is a rather trash polluted stream so I could take some of the trash out of there, to make it a nicer spot. Maybe I'll bring a pipe and some weed, clean it up and then smoke a bowl, because it would be a pretty spot to chill at for a bit if there wasn't so much trash.

That's a good thing to do. It would get you some exercise, get you outside more, & it'll help the environment a tad. If your area has a recycling program you can try to recycle what can be recycled. Also if your state has a bottle deposit you can bring the bottles & cans to a redemption center & get a few cents for each of them. I wouldn't bother going to the redemption center till you have a lot of them thou(like a garbage-bag or couple full) but then you'd get a tiny bit of money to treat yourself.
This reminds me of an ep I recently saw of the Cartoon Network show Craig Of The Creek. That's actually the only ep I seen of it cuz I have no interest in the show but I was doing something of my phone when it started & I didn't bother trying to find something on that I watch. Anyways the 3 kids notice a shiny gold bar in the bottom of the creek but it's too deep for them to reach. They invent a crazy contraption to pull it out & they ended up pulling out all the trash that was in the creek before they pulled the bar out & there was a lot of trash in there. 1ce the bar is out the kids realize that it's a chocolate bar in gold wrapping. They read something about a contest on the wrapping so they decided to open it. They find the winning ticket that says they won a tour of the factory & money or chocolate(I cant remember which). They google the company on their phones & find out the contest ended & the company went bankrupt. They're sulking just staring at the creek cuz they put forth a lot of effort into trying to get that bar expecting they would be rich. They realize how nice their creek looked without all the trash in it & they're glad they did all that despite not getting anything other than a beautiful looking creek & they decide to bring all the trash to the dump.

I've actually seen a couple that walk on a certain route in my area with a trash grabber. The route they walk along is always 10x more clean after they walk on it, and I've noticed a few other people start doing it too, which has cleaned up the routes they walk along a bit. I definitely think you could plant the idea in someones head if they see you doing it and how much of a difference it makes.
I remember people on a weed-related subreddit doing something similar to this. I think they had a thing going where people were cleaning up smoke spots, since people were leaving makeshift bongs, wrappings to joints and other things, which was making the areas very unsightly and local residents angry. Maybe you'll notice in the trash that someone has already claimed that as their smoke spot. lol
