People should march for this phrase instead of "Black Lives Matter" because it seems like a LOT of non-blacks do not like the name of the movement Black Lives Matter. Many people of all racial backgrounds understand what is meant by this name but many don't and seem to get really angry over it - this anger isn't helping anything. Nobody is saying other lives don't matter. Nobody is saying that black criminals shouldn't be arrested. What they are saying is that everyone deserves a fair trial. Everyone deserves a chance to be rehabilitated through the justice system. Throughout history, blacks and many other racial/ethnic groups have been just simply shot dead before being arrested and tried. That's where "Black Lives Matter" comes from. What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?
A life is a life. Everyone deserves a chance to be "proven" guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. This is the law. We need to uphold our constitutional rights!
