While Aerosmith are supremely talented, many of their hits strike me as a tad slick and overproduced.

I've never been much of an Aerosmith fan.

Not the most profound and meaningful musical composition ever. But it is a fun party tune.

That, and "Dude Looks like a lady" were both good at parties that I worked at as a DJ .

And I like Aerosmith.

The song came out about the same time as the girl R+B band SWV (Sistas With Voices) came out with their hit "Down Town" which also exploits the possible multiple meanings of the phrase "going down".
