Are you scared of fire alarms and smoke detectors?

Most people just find the sound annoying. I jump and scream when one goes off.

some alarms and detectors appear to have a frequency that hurts my ears but I am not scared of them

I’m not scared of them, just badly startled by them. I jump and cover my ears when they go off and am usually still shaking from it half an hour later. But I don’t see one and start worrying that it will go off or anything - that, to me, would be an actual fear of them.
