I quite often do . I think WTH did that come from?! I've got 2 red scratches on my right arm at present One just over an inch long and the other just over 2 inches long.

Even I do sometimes.
Like most things happening to my body -- trying to nevermind them.

Yes, and I've always wanted to know the science behind this.

Sometimes I see a scratch or a bruise that looks like it hurt enough to know how I'd done it, but often they just appear and I know that I haven't hurt myself in that area recently.

Some people say that it's probably from scratching myself in my sleep, but my nails are so short and blunt that it's rather impossible for me to actually cause visible injury with my nails.

Unexplained bruises are the hardest to figure out how they got there, because I don't bruise very easily so to get a bruise I have to have banged myself pretty hard enough to remember doing it. And sometimes when I do have an accident like slipping over in the bath and hurting myself, I get no bruises at all.

It's a mystery of life to me.
