Fast enough!

Plus my own breathing space inside my helmet w/ no other h00manz too close.

It’s been in a shop for 9 months - just got it back yesterday. Fiiiiinalllly. (If I’d have known it was going to take that long to get parts I’d have bought another bike to ride then sold it when this one was ready - hindsight.. no crystal ball, though.)

Went on my first day trip ride on Sunday. 675km through the mountains w/ stops in a few small towns - the longest stop in Spences Bridge, a tiny desert town where my dad grew up. Population is only about 125 people now.

One leg of the trip back was certainly beyond my experience level.. steep twisting mountain roads coming down the Sea to Sky highway from Pemberton to Squamish. Speed limit is 90kmh & the sun has set.. steep elevation changes with big twisty turns at 90kmh in the dark? Not for this newbie. Took it slow and safe.. which really pissed my older brother off, but whatever, f**k him. I wasn’t about to ride steep hills with twisty turns for the first time, in the dark, at 90kmh+. *shrug* He can be mad all he wants I guess; I made it down safely doing 70ish or so. 8)

Here’s one pic from the ride back:
