I remember for several months after the first lockdown, people were free to go out shopping again, go and eat out with friends at a socially distanced level and wear a mask and so on, but whenever I had a day off work I continued to stay at home and not go to places I would regularly go to before this pandemic like go around bookstores, charity shops, clothes stores in my local town or drive up to some other town. I just didn't do it because of the virus and yet it was frustrating me because I felt I could see other people my age or younger still doing the stuff they did normally but wearing a mask and socially distancing and I was reluctant because of the virus and I seem to think I was the only one feeling this way and everyone else wasn't.

I had issues going in large shops anyaay before the virus hit, but now only a few small shops that I know I feel safe to go in because I feel trapped if I am in a queue, and I nearly had a full out shutdown last summer in one shop which I did not realize had a queue system as it was hidden from view, and it scared me.

So I don't know how I can do it when shops re-open as my Mum is pnicky as well, and she can only use some shops too.

Sadly two shops I feel safer for going in are a good 50 miles away.

There's just one secret to it; to not be stuck and be in a survival mindset.

Anyone with fight or flight issues are prone to this.
Anyone who is prone to fear and worry do.

But while one can behaviorally bypass this, it doesn't remove the mindset.
Nor the feelings of dread and dissonance towards being compared to anyone living their lives.

Obviously, the downside is to act less carefully enough to get high time infected counts and death rates.

I am not at all concerned about the virus as I had it when it first hit, and though I thought I was going to die and I was 21 days in bed (Or mostly in bed), I am less fearful because coming close to death where I could hardly breathe and it effected my short term memory a bit... But the fear of covid itself I no longer have?
So even now, I am not concerned about that side of it even though I can't have the vaccine. I get stressed when I am hemmed in by others behind me. I am also "On edge" seeing others in masks (I can't wear a mask), which could either be because I imagine myself panicking in a mask or it could be due to prosopragnosia where I already have a fear of not recognising people, so others wearing masks makes things worse?

Having to be safe....and beware of the virus is not a bad thing. Situations seem to be pretty bad ,but keeping yourself safe is a good thing . Other people have changed their life habits just to deal with these things .
Even if they have to watch others possibly behaving dangerously.
Have noticed one thing , that with all this staying away from the shops , have noticed been saving money like
Never before.

I seem to think that because there is virus out there that probability of dying is more likely even though you would be more likely to die in car crash outside your house. But I knew that even before this pandemic that the risk is out there but the fear of the virus seems to over-ride the fear of being run over or catching flu when I know that kills people but we don't lockdown society because of that and we go about our lives with that and not wear a mask or socially distance. Now death seems to be an everyday occurrence because the News talks about it and in non-pandemic times death is a fact of life but we don't brag about it. It scares when I hear about some 20 and 30 year olds dying from it even it was said they had no underlying health conditions. I know it may not be far away until I get a vaccine but I seem feel like I'll keep having this worry over death for ever.

A crisis? Do you specifically mean the recent one ? Because I don't really am too concerned about it as I don't really go anywhere .. maybe I'll go out from home 5 or so times a month.. unless my support says go ballin' or something.. I lack physical exercise especially over the last few months. I prefer to avoid the anxiety of going out. Unless I'm masked up.. with liquor or something I don't do much or go anywhere. Because I'm anxious.. especially as I self harm and realised yesterday that being sober just how ashamed I am of my scars and burns ect. I'm fearful of being seen negatively especially with coping mechanisms..

I have probably found it harder to keep funds as everything to the door is expensive.
Sometimes I feel like a bat in a cave. Worse though is my anxiety of leaving the house initially is very overwhelming.. some days are much worse than others.
