What does "Bad Gateway" Mean?

Recently my tablet has been playing up on some sites. I am only on a few sites. One of the others now says that message.

My first port of call would be to wipe your browsing history. Sometimes bad cookies/site data can mess with a site's performance or stop it from working. Nine times in ten wiping the history works for me.

I did that last night. I know how to do that and to clean up the computer cachey.

It works now. Could just be a weak internet signal.

Weak signal is a possible cause. If the site is loading and is interrupted...I'm not sure you would get 'bad gateway'. The only other thing it could be is a fault with the site. Out of date browsers can sometimes cause issues too.
