I've noticed that posters add many of these (^) in their posts in order to add enthusiasm to a post.

IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

Instead of pointing to a post that's one post above theirs, they add two (or more) of these arrows which looks like they're referring to a post that's two posts above theirs.

It's as bad as giving a smiley face lots of )'s that makes it look like it has massive double chin, or doing the LOLOLOL (Laughing out loud out loud out loud?).

Like how pyramid posts slightly annoys some people, this slightly annoys me.

Please stop doing it, it's confusing and it's really not the correct way to use these.

I use 3 or 4 of these ^ because I keep thinking one or even 2 might get missed or something, since they're quite small.

What bothers me is this emoticon ------> :D
Ugh! Just irritates me with its big, wide, white mouth!

I usually use that one because the :) looks to me like it's somebody smiling mildly, as if saying, "Heh" somehow and is unenthusiastic. Same with when somebody replies with the ordinary smiley face without teeth. I wonder why I feel that way.

Do you mean that one? That's the ironic, knowing smile, isn't it?
