Almost forgot Cinco de Mayo

Not "Mexican Independance Day"(what many think). It commemorates the victory of the peasant Mexican army against the invading French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 - in a war to maintain their independence.

The Mexican war of Independance from Spain started Sept 16 1810. Independence day is bigger in Mexico itself, but Cinco de Mayo is bigger in the Mexican American community.

And it gives me an excuse to play the band "War".
