Is it fair to segregate the unvaccinated from the vaccinated
? I do worry the way the world is going and that things will get worse because people who refuse to be vaccinated will have to be locked away from the rest of society which will just make them continue to stand where they stand and not get it and may potentially rebel against the rules because its infringing on people's rights. In Austria and Germany they've started locking away and barring un-vaccinated individuals and some other countries like Lithuania you can't go anyway at all unless you have pass because shops have notice boards up to tell you. I've been vaccinated twice and have had a flu jab and wear two masks when I go out and wander round the shops, I don't really want there to be a situation where I can no longer go into a shop freely anymore even though I'm vaccinated and doubly masked up if I'm have a wander with a coffee. If it comes to a point that it happens here in the UK and you have to have a pass to just go into your nearest corner shop to get a bottle of water for example, it just feels like a restricted life is not worth living. I do wish sometimes that all of us were all in it together and take the vaccine to beat the virus regardless of our opinions about it and put them to one side so that we can come out the other end.
Maybe not; but it is necessary.
You mean the vaccinated are carrying it so the unvaccinated could catch it? If you are saying that the unvaccinated are carrying it then what is the problem because if you are saying that the unvaccinated are risking the lives of the vaccinated then I have a question. Why on earth did you get vaccinated in the first place? As what you are implying is that the vaccines do not work.

One of the last smallpox epidemies, Wrocław, 1963:![]()
The sign reads: Entry to Wrocław forbidden to persons not vaccinated for smallpox.
That's basic epidemics management when a vaccine is available.

I got the vaccine so that if I was exposed to the virus, I would have enough antibodies to fight off the infection. People who refuse the vaccines have no such antibodies, and are less likely to fight off the infection.
As a church elder, I have had the "privilege" of attending more than 30 funerals for unvaccinated people who died from the coronavirus since March of 2020. That is 1 or 2 every month. I am going to no more such funerals.
I have grown tired of trying to reason with the anti-vaxx crowd. If you do not want to be vaccinated, I have no problem with your decision, because (1) I cannot force you to get vaccinated, and (2) it will be your funeral, not mine.
Why shouldn't I have the right to infect others? Why shouldn't I have the right to put the hospital staff at risk because of my refusal to get a vaccine? Just because other people get the vaccine to open up our economy and to be considerate of others does not mean I need to be considerate.
P.S.: this post is dripping with cynicism
What about the rights of those of us who can't be vaccinated due to our bodies having bad reactions? I have to have dentistry done withouut anisthetic. Where is the right to be declared as a human being in this nazi like world?
Why can't anyone see there are more sides to this then their own personal crappy media brainwashed views?

Sorry. I am so worked up.
Every thread about the virus feels like a personal attack against me.

I can understand the logic that in times of crisis (a world war, a pandemic etc), stringent measures have to put in place to protect people and that maybe why we are where we are now where some countries are taking it upon themselves to separate the unvaccinated from the vaccinated as means to protect people's health but from the unvaccinated individual's point of view, they see it as an infringement of their civil liberties without realising what these measures and rules are in place for because there is a pandemic. I don't think there were many pacifists during WW2 for not wanting to fight against the Nazis because it infringed on their rights, I feel most people had to because there was no other choice unless you were elderly or medically exempt and people were hardly complaining that the UK might turn to into a police state like the enemy they were fighting against.
