You can see the time pass more clearly on an analog clocks compared to digital.

With digital clocks you only see the present time, with an analog clock you can see the time that has passed and the time that is to come.

With an analog clock you can see how much time is left before a certain time, with a digital clock you have to do mental math.

There are people who say that they should quit teaching elementary school kids how to read analog clocks when digital clocks exist and that digital is superior, but really there are certain advantages that the analog clocks have over digital.

Analogue clocks are easier to read when you're bad at maths.

I've never been able to get used to the 24hr format.

I really like the ticking of some analogue clocks, they make a place feel like home. My mum's old flat had an 80s style clock that ticked and I loved the sound of it.

Analog clocks are easier to turn back and ahead.

I have a nice kitchen clock which is an analogue clock it has roman numerals.
I like Digital clocks as well, I used to like the ones that were called dropleaf clocks they were better than the electronic ones.

I like my "Atomic" digital clock.  It hangs near my ham radio equipment, and I use it when logging contacts.

I also have a rustic-looking floor clock that emits a loud "tchack" every second in the living room -- it runs on a battery, though.  It does look nice.

For seeing what time it is in the dark however, digital clocks are better.

I like analogue clocks. They look more stylish and a bit retro.

I've always found it to be the complete opposite in my experience.

Analogue clocks annoy me. I struggle to read them and I find that a tad embarrassing. Especially if they don't have regular numbers and instead have roman numerals, I know in theory it works the same but it's a bit like when you don't recognise someone you know in a public crowd because they were wearing something out of the ordinary. Some times are easy to work out, whereas others take enough time to work out that by the time I've worked it out, the time is a different time and therefore my reading is no longer accurate.

Whereas, I can read digital clocks relatively easily without having to stop to figure out what the clock is telling me. If they really are phasing analogue clocks out, this works greatly in my favour. Often when someone asks me to read an analogue clock, I freeze and awkwardly look at the digital time on my phone instead.

I got so used to the 24-hour digital format that 12-hour analog clocks have virtually become decorations to me.

Also, the ISO9000 date format of "yyyy-mm-dd" makes more sense to me than any other, with the "yyyy-ddd" format running a close second.  Today's date would be either "2021-11-22" or "2021-326".

I used to really annoy my cousin who virtually wasn't able to read analogue clocks at all and put them upside down.

I prefer analog clocks for the reasons given. And I miss being able to say, “it’s almost 5 o’clock.”

“It’s 4:57,” doesn’t have the same ring to it.

I like the 24 hr format to and if I write the time on my calendar for appointments instead of 1.00 I'll put 13.00 hrs.
