Is it possible to create a filter to absorb CO2 and other greenhouse emissions in our atmosphere?

They already exist. In fact, soda lime (a mixture of sodium hydroxide and calcium oxide) is a common mixture used in closed breathing environments.

I was wondering if it's possible to build one for our atmosphere to curb greenhouse emissions?

Obviously would be a huge scale up.

Mass is one of those things that can never disappear. The CO2 generated from burning a million tons of oil (just an example) will result in some sort of solid material weighing hundreds of thousands of tons to contain the CO2. Trees for example do this in the form of wood (I assume) considering wood is made of huge amounts of carbon and it certainly can't come from anywhere else.

Peat bogs accumulate much more carbon than they release. They also help with water retention.
