I passed my theory test today, scoring 34/35 on the questions, and 50/75 on hazard perception

I think a celebration is in order, and time to look to the future and my practical test when it comes up

I'm half way to becoming a fully fledged driver

cool man, a driver? u mean an 18 wheeler, or tractor trailer driver? I ask cause I load and unload trucks for a living and thought about driving (going to school) to learn how to drive, the money is good, but I need a routine, a 9-5 job, I dont think I could handel being away all strange hours. Id love the travel, but I wanna be their someday for my family (in the future I hope) and with that kinda job it just seems impossible.

Congrats I am too nervous to get my license.

Aspies make very good drivers! We concentrate and can actually avoid a lot of the issues other people get caught up in.
I found the trick was to incorporate the space you know as your body, and stretch it into the size of the car.
Think about it! If you come to a door way, you know about how big your body is and how you need to angle and walk through the door way with out touching the sides, right? So, just expand your consciousness of your 'body' to the dimensions of the car. . . and voila! you know just how big you are and how much room you need around you to be a safe and careful driver!

Congrats, and sinsboldly is right. I drive a lot and I am good - not being pretentious, I really am good. I love to drive and the freedom, always have.

Once I read about a remarkable professional CDL truck driver who also is a published author. He drove for excessive hours transversing the country on long trips alone. Anyway, he wrote that on a certain stretch of roadway, during the middle of the black night with no streetlights, which he knew by heart, he would actually turn off his headlights and turn on his interior cab light and just drive! DO NOT TRY THIS. Still, intriguing experience for him I am sure.

give me a couple more months then I can take the practical driving test and hopefully obtain a license

that'll show my (soon to be ex) social worker who is the irrational one, heh
