I'll readily admit I'm crap at a lot of things;especially manual/practical tasks. That gets a sympathetic response. On the other hand show I'm quite good at something and the silence is deafening.I'm sure I'm regarded as boastful and egotistical.

The reality? It's a way, albeit temporarily, of countering wave after wave of feeling useless and worthless.

So your point is...?

That folks beat up on you for screwing up, but they dont applaud you for doing something right?

I guess that that is true of everyone to some degree. Even popular NTs get more negative than positive.

Yeah, people can often take things as being boastful, prideful or in any other way than what you actually mean. Generally, when I say I do something, can do something, it's because I'm happy I can do it. If they saw my life, they'd understand. I'm quite happy that I'm working on and fixing the deck, which say to my father, was nothing, even though he wasn't a carpenter/builder. But to me, it's something. I don't like people in the real world applauding me for it (I get embarrassed), but that's just my personality; I hit almost zero on that narcissist testing and likely go into the negative due to little self-worth.
