I can't stand them, I wish the web were free of all the crap. Spam sucks too. Why do people have to pay for things by having so many commercials?

Are you including advertisements on TV or radio?

Some TV/radio commercials are quite hilarious.

I don't care for them much, either. I remember getting some very pornographic spam on some occasions. Since I switched ISPs, that hasn't happened. I have to be careful, however, about answering surveys or signing petitions.

Yes. For the TV there should be various comedy channels for people with different tastes.

I think everything should be arranged categorically and well indexed so it's easily found. But, unsolicited crap should be illegal. Just cause we have grown up with the nonsense and gotten used to it doesn't make it any better.

I read when the adds come on television. In magazines I have been known to cut out all the adds that don't have text or photos from an article I am reading. The only adds I do like are old ones say pre 1970

"The only adds I do like are old ones say pre 1970"

And what is the dividing factor of 1970? What changed around that time?

I collect and sell antiques and collectibles and like having the adds to go with them. Also I was born in 1967 so adds from that era interest me

comercials are worse, what i dont understand is why you need them to pay for the tv show you are watching?

Ads were put on Earth for the sole purpose of annoying others. It's a fact. As for humorous commercials, they're funny the first time you watch them, o.k the second, but plain irritating the third time. By the fourth time, you'll be tugging your hair.

I can't stand most of them, but the worst are car commercials.

Some of them are great, such as the Audi A5 "Rhythm of Lines", Ford Mondeo "Desire" (they might suck as commercials, but the music is beautiful), and Toyota Yaris "Treat it With Respect" (second ad) commercials.

Anyway, I despise most commercials, but some, like the ones I linked to above, and the Rexona "Stunt City" commercial, are great.

Some real stinkers include the patronising Esure commercials, and the horrendous Sheila's Wheels ad.

I think things shouldn't be thrown in peoples faces, but everything should be indexed and easily search able, no ads but just listings, perhaps with consumer reviews and other details, but nothing getting preferential treatment. Make the data able to be found easily, give accurate reports of quality and service, but eliminate time wasting spam and junk wasting space on your screen. No more unsolicited advertisements and no more false claims. That would be good.

World peace and free energy would be good too, but that still doesn't mean we'll ever have them.

If humans didn't exist it would be a lot closer for the rest of life on earth.
