Really what is strange here is that those 90s kids would be that excited about watching black-and-white reruns of the Dick Van Dyke show.

Also the way they are cleaning is so unrealistic. Who cleans door railings?

I clean door railings, otherwise dust builds on the horizontal surfaces and fingerprints often start to accumulate on the portion near the doorknob.

Also, it's likely a matter of licensing, any entertainment show they could use for free would have worked. I wonder if someone who worked on the movie lobbied to use the Dick Van Dyke show.

Dick Van Dyke was unusual. Kids usually watch popular kid shows after school. Maybe it had something to do with the way they had been raised. I barely remember the movie.

Mrs. Doubtfire threw the remote in the fishtank. Those batteries are bad for the fish.
