Don't do it.

There are multiple ways to interpret this.

Don't know that I'm even going to try to imagine them.

Do know that my imagination instantly produces several cause and effect reasons why using an un-watched, un-managed, heat source, which is intended and designed to be used only in short-term periods, while un-conscious is pretty much guaranteed to not end well.

I think what it means is "don't fall asleep with your blow dryer on", but who knows?

There are good ways to be awakened by a 'hot blow' and bad ways.

I once saw a show about a young who had an addiction to leaving a hair dryer on all the time because it brought a fond childhood memory of her sister, and she suffered burns or started fires because of it.

Of course I should be deeply, ashamed of myself for watching a garbage show that exploits the mental problems of other people. Even if they make me feel a little better about myself because I'm not eating the stuffing out of cushions. But that's just it. Humans are never really happy until they find out there's someone out there that's worse than they are. Or think they're worse, anyway.

With the cold weather that we see in some parts I suppose someone could have the temptation to try to warm a small room with one. They are not designed to stay on for very long. It would probably burn up if you tried.

Some people may have tried to warm their bed at night with a blow dryer. That may be where the "do not use while sleeping" warning comes from in blow dryer manuals.
