^Gorgeous.

I went to the Master Gardeners Plant Sale and to the Farmers Market and got lots of herbs, pollinator friendly flowers, a couple of very cheap orchids and a tropical peach.

I've harvested 2 bunches of bananas.
Rats or possums have had a field day in my potato field, luckily they don't dig too deep.
They also like to chew on my habeneros, weird crestures.
I threw some banana leaves over my greenhouse, now its extra shady and lovely to sit in during the day.
It's almost autumn.
I love the change of seasons.
Sowed some echinacea seeds

Speaking of gardening, I found some unique playing cards selling on etsy and amazon which feature vintage artwork from the Victorian era for garden supplies.

Man I would love to add these to my collection of unique playing cards. :)

^ Very nice. Victorian cards are often interesting, amusing and weird, all at once.
But the joker in this set really should stop smoking whatever it is he's on. 8O

Lol indeed what is up with his head? The original Mr. Potato Head perhaps? :P

Those Victorian cards are very fascinating btw. I'm a sucker for vintage artwork from that era. :)

Also the "Death Photography" reminds me of a scene from the ghost movie The Others where Nicole Kidman's character found such a photo album in the attic of an old mansion and one of her servants explained to her how in the Victorian era people took photos of the deceased in the hopes that their spirits would go on living through the photos.

Kidman's character was appalled and asked "How can these people be so superstitious?" To which her servant said "Grief over the death of a loved one can make people do the strangest things."

/\That’s a great movie.
I divided the overcrowded snowdrops and some of the alpine strawberries.
Twisted my foot the other day so haven’t been getting as much done as I want.
Organized my seed collection to see what I have and what I need.
Diane witch hazel blooming now, the flowers are long and reddish compared to native ones.It needs an evergreen behind it to make those blossoms pop out.

It was a good movie indeed. :)

I'm sad, I had a red lily flower with a small bud getting taller but somebody stepped on it and broke it. :(

I've been systematically cutting out saplings to create a firebreak, but it seems a momentous task, still so much to do.
Removing and burning lantana, composting Billy goat weed, cobblers pegs and sicklepod.
The blue heliotrope has also gone a bit berserk, so I've had to spray.
Hauled logs to create garden edging in the orchard.
The orchard is looking good, I've underplanted with pumpkins.

Planted a male blue Holly so the girls will have berries. Also an arrow wood viburnum so there should be more berries for the birds in winter and something pretty to look at.
Still need to plant a black lace and lemony lace elderberry.Just have to make sure I’ve picked the right spot for them.
Have a baby pagoda dogwood but it’s so small it may have to live on a pot till it gets larger.
Trimmed the ornamental grasses back.
Santa Rosa weeping plum blooming.
I need to dig a clump up from the mock orange and move it.I planted it too close to the house and it got huge.So I want a start in another location so I can remove the original one.It smells heavenly when blooming.
