Wish I could cook something up. Isolating in my room sick with a swollen sore throat. Barely eaten anything the last 2 days. Water, Gatorade, a smoothie, some chips. Being sick sucks and I def don’t wanna spread it to anyone else in the household soooo cooking and real food will have to wait another day or three or whatever it takes to not feel like I’ll make someone else sick.

Some hot soup delivered?
Noodles?

Been eating Easter leftovers, ham, turkey etc. But feel like something different so I threw a dozen panko breaded shrimp in the air fryer. Ready to eat meow!

i cooked nothing leftovers tonight

Picked all the bones out of the boiled turkey carcass, chopped up carrots, celery, and onion, added quinoa.. plus tumeric, s & p. Soup's on!

I think I will make a chicken salad .
Some of the baby greens are ready.
I’m going to save half the chicken back and make chicken -n- dressing tomorrow.

Hungry and don't feel like having more leftover ham, so put some panko breaded shrimp in the air fryer again. Was gonna eat some green salad but the whole bag spoiled before I got to it. Wasn't planning on feeling so sick for a week or so that I couldn't eat stuff. Oh well, at least it was only a few dollars.

Not really cooking anything - might eat some mango habanero potato chips & maybe some dried fruit since I bought craisins/blueberries/mangoes at Costco - mostly just to have a wide variety of a n y t h i n g my dad might nibble on so he doesn't die from malnutrition & dehydration. F if I care if there's $200-300 worth of snack foods around; if he'll eat Any of it it's worth it.

The turkey soup is very good and quite thick. We thinned down the rest of the pot with some water and are going to freeze some.

Next into the soup pot, possibly today, is the ham bone and the rest of the leftover ham to make ham & pea soup. Om nom nom nom nom.

I'm about to grill some ribs and make mash.
Maybe garlic bread on baguette.

Chicken breast sautéed in olive oil, then I made a sammich with it.Baby lettuce and arugula from garden with mayo and Dijon mustard on whole wheat.
No ripe tomato . That’s months away.

Haven't been cooking much lately.. been pretty lazy. Heated up some convenience foods out of the freezer, ordered in a couple times, eating leftovers etc. Made some super simple stuff like sandwiches.

Although, 4 or so days back a friend of my dad's and his wife came over and brought a couple ribeyes, a couple t-bones, and a couple racks of pork ribs & I bbq'd.. normally I'd overcook or burn at least something a bit - but nope - cooked everything to perfection. Everyone was impressed, myself included! I suppose I was motivated to keep an eye on the bbq in part by the price tag of the steaks.. 4 steaks like $115 + the ribs etc. I hate wasting food & money, definitely hate wasting Good food and a lot of money. So, things worked out.
